Lau, how I adore you
To the north of Fiji Islands lay the untouched waters of Lau. The seas are so blue you literally lose yourself in thought as you gaze out.
It took us only 12 hours to reach our first destination Vanuabalavu - the biggest island in the Lau group. Vanuabalavu was one of many places in Fiji that was badly hit by Februarys TC Winston and is slowly getting back to normal.
A further half an hour from Lomaloma, the main village, lays the pristine and gorgeous Qilaqila - the bay of islands. How to describe this lush setting? Im literally am lost for words. These uninhabited islands have great potential for Tourist destinations.
Owned by the people of Daliconi, the Qilaqila bay of islands consist of 30 - 40 islets which is quite popular for yachties all over the world. This reminds me of a Borabora or a Pukhet -esque resorts nestled right here in the Fiji Islands.
A photoshoot with a client brought me to this gorgeous place and I'm literally falling in love with my country all over again. I forget sometimes what is sitting in my backyard and Im happy when Im given these opportunities to soak up the natural beauty of Fiji.
DKS-Out!
