Over the border to China!
It's day three in China and I'm starting to get a hang of things now more then ever. Yes, the language barrier game is strong and at times annoying, but you'll get used to it as the days pass.
After a noodle meal, I found myself walking through the overhead bridge in Futian to check out the night markets on the other side of the highway. The view had me trippin'. The highway was a Festival of Lights in itself and the lazar beams off certain buildings shot right into the skies. I asked a passerby, "what's with all the lights?". He said hesitantly, "welcome the new year". I guess it's a way of welcoming a new beginning with nothing but bright lights, good luck and happiness.
Merry Christmas from China! xxxxD
