Bula Hong Kong
It was exactly how they told me - sophisticated and contemporary Asia. It was a dreadful 10 hour flight to HK (and one of the longest plane rides I've had) but that didn't stop me from roaming Causeway Bay and Time Square. After checking in to my home for the month (Cosmo Hotel) I went looking for a nice meal to cap the day. It was one of those cities that didn't sleep so the hunt for dinner ended up with a three hour shopping spree.
The home of Dim Sum
Dinner was the last box checked. Thousands of little feet trotting through the busy streets of Causeway district draped in their winter fur, Dior bags and Hermes with eyes hooked to their phones while strutting up and down their busy roads (I don't know how people here do it). The price of things here isn't quite different from the price of things back home. But this is just day 1 for me, I'm yet to check out the greater Hong Kong markets where I've been told things there go for very cheap.
I'm just amazed at how futuristic and advanced this place is. My past few travels this year have been AMAZING, but this one (and it's only been day one), this one is just 'tops'. Starting from the airport to even the drive down to HK island. I find it so fancy that my flipflops and I feel out of place đ
Me, looking dazed in Causeway Bay
Anyways, that's it from me for now. It's 9:52pm and I'm in the room elevating my Pacific Islander feet before bedtime. I was so exhausted from all the walking that I decided to pull a Sydney stunt and hire an Uber where from Causeway to the hotel (Distance from Suva City to Vatuwaqa) costed me $10 FJD. Righhtttt? *winning*
I'll update you all real soon on my #TravelAsia vacation.
Signing out from Hong Kong with love. â¤ď¸
